Upcoming social media start Dylan Kardashian is making waves in the entertainment biz and thanks to rapper Nicki Minaj taking notice of him, he shot to fame in almost no time. But the 22-year-old isn't riding on her coattails - he has enough talent to deserve his fame.
Dylan Kardashian was born in Zimbabwe as Dylan Musanhu and his parents moved to South Africa when he was 2 years old.
He enjoyed his time in SA, learning a little bit of Zulu before moving to England 5 years ago.
Dylan had his big break when Nicki Minaj reposted a pic that he shared on Instagram. He woke up to his social media account blowing up with attention.
He was in disbelief.
I just couldn't believe it. I remember refreshing her page every other minute to make sure it wasn't a mistake.
Nicki shared 4 of Dylan's artworks and liked 13 pics on his Instagram, according to a report by Channel24.
This prompted other celebs to like his artwork as well, like Khloe Kardashian, Kim Kardashian-West and Snooki.
The young man isn't getting all this attention for nothing though. He deserves it. He's hardworking and it shows. He has reached more than 200 000 followers and is growing bigger every day.
Dylan was in his first year of Social Media studies when he started working with SA celeb Khanyi Mbau. He helped her build a fantastic brand and is still her social media and brand manager.
On why he chose his name, Dylan said he loves Kim Kardashian and the reality TV show Keeping up with the Kardashians.
He didn't plan on keeping the name, but when he started getting a lot of attention after Nicki shared his pic, he stuck with it.
Dylan also works with an entertainment company in England who hosts South African celebs.
Watch this space, this young man is heading for dizzying heights.
