MediClinic released a statement, which stated the nurse who victim-shamed Cheryl Zondi no longer works for them.
The nurse, who worked for MediClinic through an agency, was sacked after she made inappropriate remarks regarding one of Omotoso's alleged sexual assault victims.
In a Facebook post, Ivy Masuku shamed Zondi, who recently testified in the Omotoso's sexual assault trial.
The post sparked outrage on social media and South Africans wanted to know what the hospital plans on doing about it.
MediClinic has since released a statement about the issue.
"Mediclinic can confirm that the staff member in question is no longer in the employ of the nursing agency and that the individual has been asked to remove all association with the organisation effective immediately," the statement read.
South Africans praised the agency's decision to fire the nurse, Briefly.co.za learned.
Matsobane Legoabe, who goes by the Twitter handle @mlegoabe, commented: "Big up. Now she will join the que of unemployed people and struggle to buy data."
Social media user @Rihone1 wrote, "Big ups for cleaning South Africa's mess.'
SibongileThanjekwayo, @SbongileDreamer, commented: "Thank you! Even worse abused victims nurses are among the first people they deal with, she chose wrong profession."
