Thembi Seete pens an open tribute to Lebo Mathosa on her anniversary

Lebo Mathosa was tragically killed 12 years ago and to mark her anniversary, fans and celebs have been taking the time to remember her. One of the many tributes that have been pouring in is from Thembi Seete, who had been very close friends with Lebo during the height of her career.

Thembi took to Instagram to share a heartfelt message about Lebo and she admits that she still struggles with the pain of losing such a dear friend

Briefly.co.za learned that Lebo was tragically killed in a car accident on the N3 highway in the East Rand back in 2006, but even after 12 years, Mzansi is still mourning her passing.

Other artists, such as Cassper Nyovest and Babes Wodumo have also honoured Lebo’s memory although neither of them ever got the chance to meet her.

ZAlebs reports that Somizi was also a close friend with Lebo and he shared a heart-breaking story about his relationship with the late-performer.

The ‘Idols SA’ judge revealed that on the night of her accident, Lebo had insisted that he joins her on a night out. Somizi decided to take a rain check, but sadly the next morning he woke to the news that his friend had passed away.
