A young Johannesburg-based woman's skin condition inspired her to start her own beauty company known as Indoni Beauty Range.

29-year-old Nathacia Olivier was born with a condition that resulted in her skin peeling off frequently, TimesLIVE reports.

This greatly affected her self-confidence, especially in her teenage years. She tried various remedies and beauty products to no avail.

Nathacia finally got an idea while watching the Dr Oz TV show. She explained:

Dr Oz was talking about how food is healing and good for the body, human development and replenishing our cells. So I thought, why not use food to help heal or soothe skin?

She therefore started using various foods to develop beauty products. The young entrepreneur presented her idea at the Innovation Hub’s Gauteng Accelerator Programme competition in 2016.

Nathacia's advice to young entrepreneurs is to work hard because the entrepreneurial journey is not easy. They should also seek help through incubators, she added.
