It is every parent's dream to see their child tie the knot, and one dad in KwaZulu-Natal showed just how joyous it can get recently.

The proud dad, Jim Ward, was filmed blissfully dancing with his daughter Meg Ross at her wedding. The special occasion was held at Country Road Country Weddings.

Briefly.co.za gathered that a Facebook user, Rob Jardine, shared the video on Facebook, where it has warmed the hearts of thousands of South Africans.

The happy father-daughter duo danced to Miriam Makeba's iconic hit Pata Pata, giving the occasion a distinct and proudly South African feel.

They drew loud and enthusiastic cheers from the audience as they strutted back and forth on the dance floor.

Rob referred to it as "the best father-daughter dance ever" — and it's hard to disagree. Viewers shared Rob's sentiments and expressed how they absolutely loved the dance.
