Political party Black First Land First often makes news headlines because of their controversial claims.

Now they accuse the Economic Freedom Fighters of somehow being involved in the illegal tender scandal of Tshwane.

The BLF Deputy President Zanele Lwana made the accusation, saying the EFF's behaviour is worse than that of those behind the VBS looting.

The Tshwane corruption scandal is associated with an irregular tender involving the consultant firm GladAfrica Engineering and R12 billion.

Moeketsi Mosola, Tshwane city manager, is currently under investigation for irregularly awarding GladAfrica the tender to oversee Tshwane's projects.

The Citizen reports that the EFF is accused of also pulling tender levers using Mosola.

It must be remembered that when the Tshwane mayor, Solly Msimanga, tried to suspend Mosola for corruption, the EFF pushed the ANC to put a motion of no confidence against Msimanga. This forced Msimanga to back down and stop his attempts at suspending Mosola.
