Brenda Mhlongo, who is better known as Nandi Mabaso, has revealed that she will no longer be a part of the ‘Generations: The Legacy’ cast.
The actress has not given any reasons as to why she will be leaving the show but she is not the first person to leave this month.
Briefly.co.za previously learned that Duma Mnqobi, who plays Fana on the show, is also departing at the end of October, however Brenda plans to see it through until the end of the season.
Duma had been on the show for three years where as Brenda has barely made it through one.
According to the official Twitter account of ‘Generations: The Legacy’, a number of new faces are going to be added to the line-up for the upcoming season although they have not revealed who the new actors will be.
Earlier this year, the producers also let go of Thuso Mbedu after claiming that she was ‘too good’ to be on the show and that the role was not challenging enough for her.
The news of Thuso’s departure sparked rumours that she had been fired, however the producers have dismissed the claims and revealed that the writers felt that her character had become monotonous.
