SA man breaks into prison and tries to steal official's car

So many times we've heard about people trying to break out of jail, but one man decided he was going to break into a prison.

A man had guards at the Mdantsane prison in East London confused after he was spotted on the premises.

After he had been made, prison guards sounded the alarm because they thought it was someone who attempted to escape the facility.

It sent the officials on a mission to find out who the escapee was and only after concluding no prisoner was missing did they realise he was an intruder.

According to TimesLIVE, the man tried to steal an official's car before he was spotted. Eastern Cape correctional services spokesperson Nobuntu Gantana said they had no idea how he got into the prison in the first place.

Briefly.co.za learned guards chased the man, but he managed to escape and now a case has been opened at the police by the vehicle's owner.

So, basically the man succeeded in breaking into the prison and then escaping it as well after he was spotted.
