- Not only models took to the runway at this year’s Fashion Week, some celebs did too
- Designers Rubicon and Gert-Johan Coetzee included local actresses and TV personalities to model their new collections
- Maps Maponyane and Nomzamo Mbatha are some of the celebs who got to strut their stuff
SA Fashion Week is here and some of Mzansi’s top designers are showing off their new collections that they have spent months creating.
Both fashion editors and celebs have been attending the shows to see what new talent the country has to offer but one thing has been a little different this year.
Briefly.co.za noticed that a few of our celebs were also partaking in the show, so we found six of the best looks that the celebs were wearing.
Top designer Gert-Johan Coetzee had a number of celebs joining his models on the catwalk.
The TV personality looked absolutely gorgeous in a stunning red ball gown as she simply glided down the runway with pure elegance.
The TV host and the designer have become besties after working together on the first season of ‘Project Runway South Africa’, so it seemed fitting that she would appear in his show. Lerato radiated beauty in a couture wedding dress.
Known as a style icon, it’s no surprise that Maps featured in Gert’s menswear line-up.
Another fashion house that had some special guest appearances was Rubicon.
‘The Queen’ actress turned heads in a sequined black evening gown as she made her way down the runway.
The TV personality sported an exquisite white gown complete with feathers and lace.
The ‘Real Housewives of Jozi’ star also made her debut on the runway at Fashion Week. She was wearing every women’s favourite dress, a dress with pockets!
