The future of Mapoyi Mthetho is growing brighter by the day thanks to the overwhelming response by South Africans to his opera singing talent.
As Briefly.co.za reported recently, a video of Mapoyi giving a stunning impromptu opera performance at a parking lot in Cape Town went viral.
Facebook user Nicolene Smith shared the video on her timeline. It has been watched a whopping 373,000 times and has been shared over 8,500 times so far.
In an update on SAPeople's Facebook page, Nicolene said Mapoyi's amazing performance has won him an invitation to rehearse with the Cape Philharmonic Orchestra.
He is also been in contact with several management agents and has granted several media interviews, Nicolene added. Mapoyi also has a mentor to help him handle his prospects.
Nicolene urged South Africans from all around the world to keep sharing Mapoyi's video. She also thanked them for their massive response so far:
Thank you everyone. I am certain we have all opened a HUGE door into a bright future for this young man. You guys freaking rock my world!! I feel so much love for our nation right now!!
Hopefully, it won't be long before Mapoyi becomes a regular feature on the South African and global classical music scene.
