The Top 5 gave it their all on Sunday night’s episode of ‘Idols SA’ but to tweeps, three performances stole the show.

The competition has been getting tougher as the show nears the season finale and the contestants have been bringing the heat to the stage with every performance in the hopes of making it through to the next round.

Sadly this week, Niyaaz was eliminated and his fans were absolutely devastated to see him leaving so close to the end. learned that while fans are upset about his elimination, tweeps have been talking about the performances of King B, Yanga and Rebecca Malope.

King B has been a front-runner ever since theatre week, but his followers have noticed that he hasn’t been living up to his potential recently. Luckily, they were glad to see him bounce back with a superb rendition of Lebo Sekgobela’s ‘Lion of Judah’ that brought Unati to tears.

Yanga has also been very popular on the competition and her performance hit everyone in the feels. The young singer dedicated her version of Sjava’s ‘Impilo’ to Reeva Steenkamp, Karabo Mokoena and Cheryl Zondi.

TimesLIVE reports that the absolute highlight of the evening was when the iconic Rebecca Malope took to the stage with the Soweto Gospel Choir.

Along with the Top 5, Rebecca and the Choir’s performance of ‘Moya Wam’ had the entire audience on their feet.
