Fashion designers are always pushing boundaries and creating new fashion trends, but they don’t always get it right. SA Fashion Week is currently underway and one particular look, sported by Maps Mapoyane has caught tweeps’ attention for all the wrong reasons.
The TV personality was recently asked by fashion designer, Gert-Johan Coetzee to join the models on the runway to show off his latest collection.
Most of Gert’s designs were well received but let’s just say that Maps’ outfit stopped traffic.
Briefly.co.za learned that the TV personality took to the runway wearing a suit made with a rather unusual print on it and tweeps have been roasting the poor guy since.
Maps has incredible style and can pull almost any look, but sadly this one just didn’t meet tweeps’ fashion standards.
While it’s safe to say that this outfit will never catch on as a trend, tweeps did see a practical use for it. Some social media users thought this outfit is perfect for anyone who is preparing to take either the test for their learner’s or driver’s license.
For others, the fabric had a certain nostalgic element to it.
Thankfully, Maps has a sense of humour and he got a good laugh out of tweeps’ responses.
