Popular author Khaya Dlanga has shared a heartfelt letter he wrote to his mom when he was 18 years old.
Khaya has achieved success as an author and marketer. He has built a huge social media following largely due to his thoughtful and inspiring anecdotes about life.
However, it hasn't always been easy. He lost his dad when he was just five years old and was homeless for a few months in Cape Town, as Briefly.co.za reported recently.
In his letter, Khaya praised his mom for raising her children alone after Khaya's father passed away. He also thanked her for raising him to be the person he was.
Khaya reassured his mom that she would not be sorry or regret that she raised him. He added, "You are the best mother in the world."
Khaya's mom sent him a copy of the letter and commended him for keeping his promises to her.
The letter touched the hearts of many tweeps. Many called it "beautiful" while others applauded Khaya for being a good son and his mom for raising the kids on her own.
