It was a matter of life and death on Monday night’s episode of ‘Generations: The Legacy’. Jack Mabaso discovered that he had been chosen to make the tough decision of whether or not Fana should be kept on life support.
Briefly.co.za reported that in the previous episode, Fana had been declared brain dead and is no longer breathing on his own or responding to any of the doctor's tests.
As heart-breaking as it is, his family now have to choose between keeping the lawyer on life support or switching the machines off.
On the latest episode of the show, Jack Mabaso discovers that in Fana’s will, he has been elected as the lawyer’s medical proxy. This means that the only person who can make a decision about switching off the machines is his step-father.
After informing the rest of the Cele family about Fana’s request, Mam’Nandi lashed out at her ex-husband for wanting to end the lawyer’s suffering.
Doctors believe that there is no chance of him ever recovering so it would be the best decision, but his mother cannot handle the fact that she would be losing her son.
