Lerato Sengadi needs all the love she can get. Kelly Khumalo, local singer, has done just that, reaching out to Lerato in this difficult time.

Having lost her husband a week ago, Lerato has to celebrate her 36th birthday without her hubby, HHP, by her side.

On an Instagram post, a message was sent stating that she knows her heart and also her strength and to have a happy birthday to Scorpion Queen.

The wounds are still so fresh as it was only yesterday that Lerato attended her husband’s memorial service and gave a touching tribute to him. learnt that after she posted the tribute on her Instagram page, Kelly replied with words of reassurance. Kelly commented that a woman hold the sharp end of the knife and that Lerato must stay strong and remember she is not alone.

Ironically, Kelly’s partner, Senzo Meyiwa, died in her arms almost exactly four years before the death of HHP.

October 2014 was when life changed for Kelly. She has never gone into detail of Senzo’s murder.

Lerato is having issues with HHP’s family who apparently are denying that HHP and Lerato were married, this is something Kelly is able to relate to.

Kelly has undergone four years of an upward battle against, not only Senzo’s family, but the public as well who have made accusations that Kelly has been withholding vital information regarding the murder.
