- Treasure Richards, who is black, stunned the world when she she claimed she hates black people
- However, her sister says Treasure did all that just to become a meme
- She also accused Dr Phil's show of exploiting her family's poverty for ratings
Treasure Richards, the black US teenager who sensationally claimed she hates black people, is a fraud.
This is according to her sister, Nina Richards, who claimed in several Instagram posts that Treasure simply wanted "to become a meme."
Briefly.co.za reported recently that Treasure claimed her body and facial features are not like those of black people. She also claimed to be white in comments made on the popular Dr Phil TV show.
However, Nina said Treasure's tirade against black people was a hoax. According to thisisinsider.com, she said:
This is all some bulls--- that she fabricated just to become the next 'cash me outside' girl. To become a meme. That was her goal. She wanted to be a meme.
Nina added that their mom went along with the plan simply to enjoy an all-expenses-paid trip to Las Vegas to appear on the TV show. She accused Dr Phil's show of taking advantage of her family's poverty.
Nina and Treasure share the same mom, but have different fathers. Nina grew up with a white dad, who passed away in 2006. Treasure claimed this dad as her own.
Nina said she spoke out against Treasure's claims, at the risk of alienating her family, to clear her late dad's name.
This is because Treasure claimed she got her white supremacist views from Nina's dad. Nina denied her dad was a white supremacist.
Nevertheless, Treasure insisted that everything she said was real: "I am not an actor, and I never will be. My opinions will not be shut down."
