The embattled North West premier Supra Mahumapelo called in the help of top-notch advocate Dali Mpofu against the African National Congress' national executive committee.
He wants to challenge the committee's decision to disband the North West ANC leadership.
Mpofu is also the Economic Freedom Fighters' chairperson. He's agreed to represent Mahumapelo.
SowetanLIVE reports that Mpofu did not wish to discuss the details of the case.
Mahumapelo feels the procedure that the ANC followed to make their decision was flawed. He wants his job back as premier after stepping down earlier this year.
Four ANC members took the ruling party to court and stated that the NEC didn't have legit reasons to dissolve the North West leadership.
The four ANC members who took the party to court, represented by Mpofu, argued that the ANC NEC did not have a legitimate reason to dissolve the provincial leadership.
Briefly gathered that the case is expected to be heard in court on Friday the 2nd of November.
