A Nigerian woman has given her boyfriend of seven years an ultimatum to propose in the next four months.

This is according to Sylar, a Nigerian Twitter user, who shared the story on his profile recently. He wrote:

My guy’s girlfriend just gave him an ultimatum. They’ve been dating for 7 years. She’s 26, He’s 30. She says he has 4 months to put a ring on it or that’s it. You can’t force a man to propose, can you?

It has also sparked a lively debate among tweeps between those supporting the ultimatum and those against it.

One tweep supported the ultimatum because a friend of hers dated a guy for 10 years only for him to leave her for another girl.

Another tweep said the woman simply knows what she wants.

However, one commenter thought the woman is being desperate.

For one tweep, the woman should simply propose to her man.
