Mzansi is home to many talented celebs, however South Africans would be surprised to know that there are quite a few international celebs that have special ties to the country.

Best known for playing the leading role in the Harry Potter franchise, many would be surpised to know that he has a strong connection to Mzansi. While he may have been born and raised in Great Britain, the actor’s mother and grandmother were both born in SA.

Behati Prinsloo

The Victoria’s Secret model was born right here in sunny South Africa, but later she moved to Namibia where she spent most of her childhood. Behati got her big break into the modelling world when she was headhunted during a vacay in Cape Town.

Troye Sivan

The young singer and actor rose to fame after he bagged the leading role in the movie series, ‘Spud’. Troye was born in Johannesburg, but his family relocated to Australia when he was only two years old due to the high crime rate. Little did he know, that he would return to the country to star in a truly South African movie.
