Brenda Mhlongo will be leaving ‘Generations: The Legacy’ at the current season and the actress has revealed that she is extremely disappointed to be leaving the soapie.
Brenda has been playing Nandi Mabaso for a year now, but it has come as a surprise to her to hear that she will no longer be a part of the cast.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that she was leaving however, at the time, no further information had been given.
The actress has revealed that her contract had not been renewed as the writers have no future plans for her character in the current storyline.
According to ZAlebs, the actress is trying to keep her head up because it’s just another part of the job, but she admits that she will miss being on the soapie.
Brenda goes on to say that she knew that one day her contract would not be renewed, but it didn’t prepare the actress for the heart break she felt after hearing the news.
It is not all bad news for the actress at the moment. She revealed that she will be putting acting on hold for the time being to focus on the Brenda Mhlongo Worldwide Foundation.
When she landed the role on ‘Generations’, Brenda put her charity work on the back burner but now she is giving it her full attention.
