A video of dedicated firefighters in George, Western Cape, singing before another gruelling nightshift is giving South Africans the feels.
Sean Snyman, a councillor in George Municipality, shared the video on his Facebook profile earlier this week.
The firefighters have been battling raging wildfires along the Garden Route in recent days, with George and Knysna among the most affected areas.
Snyman's video showed that the firefighters were still full of energy and determination to put out the fires despite having battled for more than a week.
It went viral, racking up more than 91,000 views, 3,500 reactions, 1,600 shares, and over 100 comments.
George residents praised the dedicated firefighters for doing a great job, Briefly.co.za gathered. According to EWN, the fires have been largely contained.
One resident wrote, "Good work by fire EPWP fighters and our other firefighters; excellent work to stop the fires."
Another one said, "God Bless and keep us all safe. Thank you. Words I don't have. Thank you."
