#JMPD stopped a blue Polo on M1/Carr St & verified to be stolen. Suspect driver claims to own a dealership in Wynberg & does not know the car was stolen BUT tries to bribe the JMPD officers first with R5000 then R25229.50. Officers refused the bribe & suspect now behind bars.
Sun accompanied his post with photos of the cash, car, and suspect, whose identity couldn't be revealed at the time.
Tweeps praised the officers for upholding integrity and professionalism in the course of their work.
Some tweeps made light of the situation.
