- Lerato Sengadi is taking the family of the late rapper to court
- She claims that the family did not involve her in any of the arrangements for HHP’s funeral
- Lerato has also demanded that all of his belongings be handed over to her
Publicist Lerato Sengadi has been the centre of attention ever since her husband, HHP passed away. Now Lerato is back in the spotlight as she takes the late rapper’s family to court to halt his funeral in Mahikeng this weekend.
The publicist has approached the court after she claimed that the icon’s family had not involved her in making any of the arrangements for his burial or revealed where his body is at the moment.
Lerato believes that as his customary wife, she should be able to plan the funeral alongside the family. However this has not been the case, so she has decided to take them to court.
As part of her court interdict, Lerato has also requested that the family gives her all of HHP’s possessions, including his hard drives which are kept at his studio.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that the publicist has attempted to obtain them before, however, the family has stopped her from doing so.
Late October, HHP’s family came forward to discredit Lerato’s claims of being the late rapper’s widow because as far as they were concerned, the couple had never gotten married.
They have also hired a 24-hour security team to stop the publicist from entering the home unannounced.
The ‘Mpintshe’ hit-maker passed away towards the end of October from a suspected suicide and sadly, Lerato has confirmed that he took his own life.
The late rapper had been battling depression and in the days leading up to his passing, HHP found himself in a very dark place.
Lerato also revealed that the icon had also been struggling with a drug addiction, which he refused to get treatment for.
According to eNCA, HHP was an avid user of cocaine and CAT.
