Social media has become an essential tool for celebs to keep in touch with their fans. Like most things, some celebs are better at it than others.

Briefly.co.za did some digging and we found the current top 5 celebs with the most followers in Mzansi on both Instagram and Twitter.

1. Trevor Noah

It’s not surprising that the comedian is leading the pack with a staggering 12.35 million followers. While Trevor has always been popular amongst South Africans, his fan base has exploded since he became the host of ‘The Daily Show’.

2. Minnie Dlamini-Jones

The TV personality has been doing her thing in the industry for quite some time, but it’s pretty clear that Mzansi just can’t get enough of her. Minnie currently has a total of 5.52 million followers watching her every move on social media.

3. Bonang Matheba

Mzansi’s darling used to be the queen of social media but she has since lost her crown. While she might not be sitting at number one, Bonang still has an impressive 5.44 million followers.

4. AKA

Supa Mega is doing pretty well for himself online as he currently has 5.07 million followers.

5. Boity Thulo

The TV personality-turned-rapper has quickly climbed up the social media since making a change to her career. Boity has now racked up to 4.66 million followers online.
