- Cassper Nyovest recently performed in front of a crowd of seventeen fans
- The show was at Giyani Stadium in Limpopo, which was where Benny Mayengani planned to #FillUp
- Local residents boycotted Mufasa’s gig after he tried to sue Benny for using “his” hashtag
Cassper is used to performing sold-out shows but recently the muso took to the stage to do a gig for only seventeen people at Limpopo’s Giyani Stadium.
If Giyani Stadium sounds familiar to you, it should! This was going to be the venue that Benny Mayengani wanted to sell out before Cassper threatened to sue him for using ‘#FillUp’ in his adverts.
When you’re trying to make it big as an artist, performing for seventeen people is pretty impressive, but when you’ve sold out the Ticketpro Dome, this kind of crowd seems hardly worth it.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Cassper was prepared to take some serious legal action against Benny for using the hashtag that Mufasa had popularised.
The ‘Tito Mboweni’ hit-maker has applied to have the phrase trademarked, however it has yet to be finalised so there is nothing that he can do about it for now.
As the news spread about Cassper’s decision to sue, EFF part leader, Julius Malema stepped in to to provide Benny with legal assistance.
According to ZAlebs, the residents of Limpopo decided to stay away from his concert as revenge for going after Benny.
Tweeps have been taking jabs at Cassper on social media, and for once, he is handling it very well.
The muso hasn’t clapped back at any tweeps for their comments about his performance at Giyani Stadium, but he did thank everyone who attended.
Mufasa also revealed that the night before he had performed in front of ten people, but he’s just happy that people came to see him.
