Ramaphosa and ANC surprised Ace Magashule for his 59th birthday

- The ANC's Secretary-General, Ace Magashule, celebrated his 59th birthday on Saturday, 3 November

- The ANC held a surprise party for Magashule in Pretoria, led by President Ramaphosa

- Ramaphosa joked and said he hopes Magashule gets more handsome and wise with age

The ANC and President Ramaphosa held a surprise party for Secretary-General Ace Magashule on the 3rd of November.

Magashuke turned 59 and the ruling party wanted to give him a special treat. Important members of the ANC met in Pretoria for a meeting and decided to surprise Magashule as well.

The president, Jessie Duarte (Deputy Secretary-General), and Paul Mashatile (Treasurer General) helped cut the gigantic green, black, and yellow cake.

Bottles of champagne were also popped in Magashule's honour, according to a report by IOL News.

Ramaphosa was happy to toast to his Secretary-General:

We take a lot of pleasure and joy to wish you a happy birthday on a very special day when the NEC is meeting. It isn't every leader of the ANC who gets birthday wishes from such a galaxy of leaders... all gathered at the same time.
It is indeed a special day, with its own Ace Magashule characteristics. You turn 59 today. The secretary general is still growing up. You can see today he appears even more handsome. I think he's even going to get more handsome by the years and also hopefully wiser.
