Car guard uses tips to feed stray cats; reminds us what Ubuntu looks like

Ubuntu comes in all shapes and sizes. It doesn't matter whether you're helping people or animals, as long as your heart is in the right place. That's what car guard Eddie proved when he was seen using his tips to take care of the Durban Central Beachfront's stray felines.

Car guards are often associated with drug users and all kinds of negative stereotypes but they're actually good people.

Just look at Eddie - he doesn't use his tips for bad things, in fact, he uses it to feed the animals that no one seems to have love for.

GoodThingsGuy reported on how Dave Claxton shared on Facebook how Eddie feeds the stray cats in his area.

Eddie not only feeds the hungry cats, he gives them a safe place to hang out or relax in the sun.

Another Facebook user, Tracey, saw the post Dave shared about what Eddie does and explained who Eddie is and how he helps the stray cats.

The Car guards name is Eddie and he looks after a few strays on the beach front. Such an amazing man. A lovely lady Latifa also donates food and Feral Cat Rescue have helped him trap and sterilise them all. They also help if anything is wrong with the fur babies and they need to go to the vet. There are some amazing people doing beautiful heart full things in our special country.

Eddie shows South Africans that you don't need to have a fat wallet to take care of others - including animals.

Now that's the spirit of Ubuntu.
