The ANC will be hosting a Stimulus View Dinner at Johannesburg's Summer Palace on Monday, the 5th of November. If you were planning on attending, though, you should consider that seats at this dinner does not come cheap.
For those who want to sit at President Ramaphosa's table, two seats will cost a whopping R 1 million.
If you'd settle for a seat at Deputy President David Mabuza’s table, you'd have to cough up a whole R600 000.
Seats at other tables will cost you R500 000. The president will deliver a keynote address at the dinner.
The Daily Maverick reports that it is hardly fair or logical that country with more than 9 million unemployed people would have their ruling party send invites for a R1 million dinner.
It's believed that guest will sip on chilled Moët and munch on springbok carpaccio. The profits of the dinner will go towards funding the ruling party's 2019 election campaign.
