A medical student at the University of Pretoria has appealed to Twitter users to help her pay R50,000 in outstanding fees.
Kwanda Ngwenya has completed her fourth year of study and is set to start her fifth next year, Briefly.co.za gathered.
She appealed for donations as well as retweets to help publicise her appeal. She also furnished tweeps with her banking details.
In a follow-up tweet, Kwanda said she's worried that the university might cancel her residential placement because of the outstanding fees.
She also can't access her fourth-year results until she pays the debt.
Just recently, Kwanda couldn't hide her excitement at completing her fourth year of study and proceeding to her fifth next year.
Tweeps responded positively to Kwanda's appeal, retweeting it over 800 times so far. Some of them offered suggestions for funding sources.
