The mother of rapper, Gigi Lamayne has confirmed that her daughter is in hospital and that doctors expected that she will make a full recovery after a suspected suicide attempt.

No details have been confirmed about what sent Gigi to Netcare Waterfall City Hospital in Midrand, but her fans are just glad to hear that she will be back on her feet in no time.

Gigi was admitted on Saturday after she sent out a few disturbing tweets that caused major concern amongst her fan base.

In other tweets, Gigi simply posted: “The end” and “I was hurt way before I was hurt”, but she has since deleted all of her posts.

The rapper had been battling depression for some time, but she was in therapy and by the sounds of things, she was slowly learning how to cope with her mental illness.

The rapper’s mother, Sara Manny has said that the weekend’s events came as a shock to her, but she is trying to be strong for her daughter.

Reports have suggested that Gigi may have overdosed in an attempt to take her own life but Sara has not said anything further.

According to the Daily Sun, the rapper posted a picture of her hand on social media where she had written: “depression don’t win”.
