AKA took to social media to beg his fans to leave the organisers alone because he was the reason that his album didn’t score any nominations.

Briefly.co.za learned that AKA no longer sees any merit in receiving awards because he already knows that his music is the best in Mzansi.

According to SA Hip Hop Mag, Supa Mega feels that having his fans’ support is an award in itself so he doesn’t need anything more than that.

In a series of other tweets that followed, AKA pointed out that the likes of Bob Marley and Tupac never received Grammy nominations yet they have become two of the most iconic figures in music history.

While he has changed his perceptions on awards, AKA revealed that he doesn’t have anything against the people who care about awards or choose to submit music to be nominated.
