Video clips have been posted online by a motorcyclist named Ettienne Pel. He alleges in the recordings that two traffic cops purposely broke his number plate.
The video as of now, has been shared over 2000 times within a few hours.
The heated argument proceeds and rapidly grows into a yelling match as the driver is resolute the officers have infringed upon the law.
The authorities urge him to tail them to the police station to enable them to discuss and resolve the issue.
Pel, in any case, is having none of it as he constantly requests the officers for their appointment certificates, to which they decline and rather reach for a book to issue a fine.
The frustrated commuter then cites the fact that the officers are driving around in a vehicle not roadworthy.
The exact details surrounding the incident are still unclear as an announcement from the police and motorcyclist still can't seem to be issued.
Briefly.co.za understands that Pel is the Chairman of UTASA and a member of the Tshwane Road Safety Council and would therefore be in the perfect position to identify roadworthy issues.
