Despite their exploits in the English Premier League that have seen them rank as the most successful English side, a new study has rated Manchester United first among the most hated clubs in the league.
According to a recent study conducted by AnalysisFC, the Old Trafford outfit the Premier League's most unpopular club among the topflight teams.
The survey firm conducted their first Premier League rivalry survey asking fans to list the other EPL team they dislike the most.
Football fans from a total of 13 Premier League clubs listed Manchester United as one of their top three biggest rivals.
Liverpool and Manchester City fans topped the list of supporters who hate United, with Burnley, Cardiff City, Huddersfield Town, Leicester City and Newcastle United fans also among those who dislike the Manchester club.
Liverpool ranked second among the most hated team in the league, while Tottenham Hotspurs occupy third place and Chelsea are in fourth.
Interestingly, reigning Premier League champions, Manchester City, emerged one of the most liked side in the league after ranking tenth in the survey.
City will host their bitter rivals, Manchester United, at the Etihad stadium on Sunday, November 11 in a crunch Premier League clash.
United are currently in bad shape after a string of poor results, leaving them seventh on the Premier League standings.
The Citizens, on their part, are the league leaders having accumulated 29 points, and will be looking to cause an upset on United to continue with their impressive run of results.
