Actor, Xolani Mfeka has revealed that he is going to push forward with his career in acting despite receiving extremely harsh criticisms about his role on ‘Imbewu’.
Xolani was allegedly fired from the set of the popular TV show because he was struggling to speak isiZulu and his acting skills were lacking.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Xolani was the second actor to have been fired from the show, however, his character has not been killed off just yet.
He will continue to appear in the show until his contract ends in January.
The actor, who played Nganono Bhengu on ‘Imbewu’, was proud of the performance he gave on the show and he believes that there was nothing more that he could have done to improve it although fans have disagreed.
Xolani claims that he followed the directions that were given to him by the producer and he was deeply hurt to read the negative comments that people were making about him.
ZAlebs reports that Xolani has been on various TV shows including ‘Generations’ and ‘Gauteng Maboneng’, however his role on ‘Imbewu’ has been the biggest part throughout his career.
