A video was posted on social media on Monday, which showed attempted hijacking in Cape Town CBD. The footage broke social media users' hearts as the woman yelled for help but no one came to her aid, not even a couple of security guards.
On Sunday, a woman was nearly hijacked by two men after she came out of the McDonald's in Gardens in the Cape Town CBD.
An onlooker filmed the entire incident from above as the hijackers attempted to steal her car. At one point a man helps her get back in her car and she is then her screaming for help as several security guards stand by and observe the ordeal.
Briefly.co.za gathered a copy of the video was posted on Facebook on Monday by Cape Talk.
The video shook social media and South Africans were outraged over the security guards' behaviour.
Jenny Burls Sprackett commented: "Hope these guards are fired from their jobs. That woman screams and noone does anything."
Colin Sayers added, "If you want one of those guard, you have to be offering money. Those guards should be fired."
Wolf Kreft wrote: "We are all a bunch of sissies .. very few real men around."
