Another failure! Discovery execs live the luxury life at customers' cost

- Discovery Health Insurance recently announced the cushy bonuses their employees will be receiving

- However, users of the insurance were not happy to hear the announcement as they feel the company lets them down often

- Discovery will be paying out bonuses of about R336.6 million

When Discovery announced it will be giving directors and management millions in bonuses as well as incentive payments, users of the health insurance company was outraged.

The Citizen reported that Discovery reports indicated that they plan to distribute about R336.6 million in payments to employees. The millions are the profits the company made in 2018.

The bonus pool rose a whopping 33% when compared to what it was in 2017.

Briefly.co.za gathered that 7 directors will be receiving a cool bonus of about R2.2 million each. R265 million will be divided between 1134 managers - they'll each get about R200 000 in bonuses.

The remaining R85 million will be shared among 203 employees

Furthermore, Discovery's Chief Executive, Adrian Gore, earned about R19 million this year and received a performance bonus of more than R7 million.

This announcement was followed by outrage by the public. People took to social media to discuss the ways the feel Discovery let them down.
