On Tuesday morning, former Paralympic athlete Oscar Pistorius was let out of jail to attend his late grandfather's memorial serivce.
Photos of the convicted murderer's trip to the Kleinkaap Boutique Hotel, where the memorial service was held, were shared on 13 November.
An image showed Pistorius seated in a white marked Toyota Corolla correctional services car, TimesLIVE reported.
The 31-year-old was accompanied by two correctional officers, Briefly.co.za learned. He reportedly tried to cover his face with his blazer as photographers took photos of him.
It was earlier reported Pistorius, who is serving out a 13 year prison sentence for the murder of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp, has not dealt with his granddad's passing well.
According to a family member, who chose to remain anonymous, Pistorius was devastated over the death of his 101-year-old beloved grandfather, Hendrik.
The man, who was simply identified as one of Hendrik's 23 grandsons, said Pistorius has fond memories of their granddad, and, unlike the rest of the family, the Paralympian could not be there when he passed away.
