UFC light heavyweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov is currently in Nigeria on a charity mission to provide clean water for citizens.

The Russian fighter infamously defeated Conor McGregor in Irishman's return to the octagon in a fourth round submission.

Briefly.co.za learned that Khabib has however been suspended for attacking one of McGregor's coaches Dillon Danis but has been linked with a potential fight with undefeated boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The 30-year-old's manager posted a picture of Khabib with Nigerian children on social media after the digging of a well.

He said, “This photo of my brother @khabib_nurmagomedov Khabib in Africa. Since the man won his title his eyes set to help make the world a better place.

“It inspires me so much, he’s in Nigeria right now digging Wells for young children who do not have clean water.

“And also opening medical centers for people to get proper medical care and this is just the beginning. I’m so grateful to be a part of this journey and humbled.#repost. “

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Floyd Mayweather has released a response after Khabib Nurmagomedov challenged him to come out of retirement for a fight.

The 50-0 fighter took to social media moments after the news broke out urging the MMA fighter to show him the cash if he is serious of a fight.
