On Monday, the court ruled Afrikaans singer Amor Vittone would only inherit a TV set from her late estranged husband's estate.
The former Springbok flyhalf's family approached to court to rule in favour of van der Westhuizen's altered 2015 will instead of a joint will with Amor in 2009.
The court ruled against Vittone, meaning she would only get a TV set from his estate, while the rest of his assets go to their children.
News of the court's ruling made it on social media and South Africans were quick to give their two cents on the matter.
Parody Twitter account Man's Not Barry Roux posted about it on his official Twitter account and it sparked a massive response.
So, Briefly.co.za decided to take a look at some of the reactions the court's ruling gathered.
Social media user @TUM_TUMY commented: "I remember this case and apparently the way she treated him after he fell sick, that TV is too much for her."
Mvuyisi Mredlana, who goes by the Twitter handle @sineke12, added: "Guess that's what she came with in the marriage LOL. No sense of working."
