A pastor has come under fire after he gave his congregation at poison and toilet cleaner to consume, claiming it would cure them from illnesses.
Members who attended Sunday's service at Divine Glory Ministries in Kagiso, Mogale City, were in danger after the religious leader fed them Rattex Pills and Domestos.
Briefly.co.za learned Pastor Sipho Mphakathi received backlash after he had his congregation eat rat poison. However, the pastor did not stop there- he had the church members wash down the Rattex with toilet cleaner.
The Daily Sun reported Mphakathi confirmed the incident, adding that he used the dangerous substances as a healing method.
This is a healing process for those who are ill. It will heal them. Nothing can come in the way of God and his will for his children," he said.
Needless to say, the pastor received a lot of backlash and some accused him of taking things too far.
Mphakathi is not the only pastor who has gone to drastic measures to heal his congregation. Briefly.co.za previously reported a video was shared on social media which showed the snake pastor feeding his congregation dog meat and frogs.
According to the religious leader, it would cure his church's members from HIV and cancer.
