Cassper Nyovest has announced that he and his business, Family Tree will be partnering up with Universal music to expand his brand.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Cassper had considered approaching with a big music label, but he was apprehensive about giving up his title as an indie artist.
It seems that he has put some careful thought into it and decided to take the plunge.
Cassper believes that it was time for him to take his music and his business to a new level and Universal was the only one who was going to be able to help him to get to where he wants to be.
While many indie labels like Family Tree would become a part of a big label, Cassper has managed to keep ownership of the company as well as rights to the music and its publishing rights.
According to Daily Sun, that fans of Cassper Nyovest can rejoice as the rapper has revealed that he will be releasing a new album in the next two weeks.
He hasn’t given much away about his upcoming album, other than the fact that it is called ‘Sweet & Short’.
