A group of women have got together to make South Africa aware of the abuse women and children are suffering. Using their platforms, Lockdown actress Dineo Nchabeleng has joined Cici, Kelly Khumalo, Nelisiwe Sibiya in their plight to crack down on abuse.
Dineo spoke to TshisaLIVE that she has always had the need to assist in been part of the awareness campaign to make people aware of just how much abuse is going on. She has joined the 16 Days of Activism.
Briefly.co.za learnt that motherhood was the turning point for Dineo. The fact that she was now a mother it became more of urgency for her to become part of making people aware.
Being a women and a mother to a daughter, she herself became aware of how many women and children are affected by abuse. She made up her mind that it is time for her to speak out against these dreadful acts.
Playing the part of Angela on Generations, Dineo is now in the spotlight and has the capacity for her voice to be heard.
Dineo says in order to eradicate the abuse, we have to stand together. She stated that anyone who is a survivor of abuse is a vital part for inspiration for others to come together and put a stop to the abuse that is becoming more and more frequent in South Africa.
It is vitally important that we come together for us to be able to live a better life.
Dineo strongly believes that standing together and letting our voices be heard, things will change. The campaign sparks action and should not end after the 16 days.
We desperately need to carry on speaking and assisting where we can. This shameful act must be dealt with in order for our children to have the life they deserve!
