On Thursday, it was reported a man allegedly hacked Van Damme's email and gained access to some intimate content.
According to an email he sent the 35-year-old, he claimed he took videos and photos of her “most passionate funs with adult content".
The hacker then demanded Van Damme pay $829, which is an estimated R11 650, to his bitcoin cryptocurrency wallet.
However, the DA's national assembly member has taken to Twitter to address the matter and she is clearly not bothered by the email.
Briefly.co.za learned the email is allegedly a scam and many others have received the exact same message from the so-called hacker.
Van Damme wrote: "The email scammers are trying hard shame. Unshaken. No bitcoin transfer coming from me."
