A 'dead' 95-year-old man, who hails from Rajasthan in India, allegedly came back to life during the funeral rites.
Budh Ram's eldest son, 65-year-old Balu Ram, was busy preparing his father's body with a water ritual before he got cremated.
However, as he doused his dad in water, Balu noticed the corpse was shivering as if it was cold. So, he took his father's body to a bed where he allegedly started to breathe again.
Balu recalled his father started breathing and immediate sat upright in the bed. Briefly.co.za gathered Ram explained to his family he had severe pain in his chest and decided to sleep a bit.
The eldest son described his father 'resurrection' as a miracle and added it could not have come at a better time.
According to News24, Ram woke up just before the Hindu festival of lights, which is also known as the Diwali.
Balu explained if his dad died, the family would not have been able to celebrate the festival- as is the norm for families who lost a loved one.
Ram's youngest son, Ranjit, 55, added they have a lot to celebrate now that his father has returned to them.
"This time the celebrations are going to be grand," he said.
