A man left tweeps in stitches recently when he sent his bae money from a savings account meant for paying her lobola.

A Twitter user, @___kweenin, shared a screenshot showing the hilarious SMS exchange between the unnamed man and his bae, Briefly.co.za gathered.

The screenshot showed the lady asking her man for R500. The man proceeded to withdraw the cash from the savings account, apparently leaving a balance of R19,500.

The man appeared to suggest that nothing he gave his bae was for free and that any cash he gave her was simply part of the lobola.

@___kweenin's post left tweeps thoroughly amused, garnering more than 330 likes and 149 retweets in the process. Her followers came up with equally hilarious replies.
