South Africans have taken to social media to share their views on Woolworths installing a security camera in the ladies' fitting room.
According to IOL, a woman took to Facebook to confront Woolies after she noticed the fitting rooms had a camera in.
"Hey WOOLWORTHS, what’s up with the cameras in the fitting rooms of your Pavilion Shopping Centre store? Are you usually in the business of invading the privacy of your customers?" the Facebook post read.
South Africans were not happy with the cameras in the fitting rooms.
Khathide, who goes by the Twitter handle @Zama_R, wrote: "@WOOLWORTHS_SA please let us know if you dont want us shopping there anymore, first it was being searched and scanned now cameras? hhay ngeke ishoni."
Briefly.co.za learned Woolworths has since released a statement, admitting there's a camera in the changing rooms.
However, they denied any customer's privacy was invaded because the camera allegedly points to the entrance and no fitting room is in its view.
