Thuso Mbedu is currently visiting New York to attend the International Emmy Awards. The actress has been living her best life abroad and her holiday snaps are enough to make anyone jealous!
Thuso has been flying the SA flag high after she received a nomination for the Emmys in 2017, but she has made Mzansi even prouder when she cracked the nod for the second year in a row.
The actress has been doing some sightseeing around the Big Apple and Briefly.co.za found a few of our favourite snaps of her trip abroad.
South Africans have always been fascinated with snow, mainly because it’s not something that many of us get to experience.
During her trip, Thuso got to see snow for the first time and while it was fun while it lasted, she’s is happy to never brave the cold ever again.
The actress also did some sightseeing to the usual New York attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge and we can’t help but be a little jealous.
Just like the main tourist sites, a must for anyone visiting the Big Apple is to ride the subway.
Thankfully the weather did warm up a bit so Thuso hit the streets of Manhattan to experience the nightlife.
When it came to the medal ceremony just before the main awards show, Thuso looked radiant in a blue and pink dress made by local fashion brand, Tuelo Nguyuza Collective.
During the main Emmy Awards ceremony, Thuso sported a unique gown that had been made by Kentse Masilo, the first ever winner of ‘Project Runway South Africa’.
Independent Online sadly reports that SA’s golden girl sadly missed out on the award for Best Performance by an Actress to Germany’s Anna Schudt.
While she may have missed out, Thuso is still proudly representing SA by being one of the few actress to score consecutive nominations.
