- Manchester United are edging closer to signing French starlet Noam Emeran
- The 16-year-old currently plays for French side, Amiens
- His impeccable footballing skills are said to have attracted the attention of top clubs
Premier League side, Manchester United, are reportedly closing in on a stunning deal that could see them sign French teenage sensation, Noam Emeran
According to Metro UK citing L’Equipe, United have reached an agreement to sign the 16-year-old from Amiens.
Emeran, who only joined Amiens last year, reportedly caught the attention of United owing to his impeccable football skills in the wing.
The report further added Emeran is expected to remain with the French side until next year, with United said to be keen to avoid hampering the youngster's development.
In a past briefing over his future, Emeran admitted he looks up to Manchester City star winger Leroy Sane.
"I have no model player in the [Amiens] first-team, but I really like the style of Gael Kakuta. More generally, I admire Leroy Sane," Amiens’ official website quoted Emeran.
"My ambition is to be able to be professionally one day and to win titles, but school remains the most important thing for now If there is no school, there is no football," he added.
Should he complete a move to Old Trafford, Emeran could link up with compatriot Aliou Traore in United’s academy, with the latter arriving from PSG last December.
Earlier, Briefly.co.za reported Manchester United may have inadvertently made public the signing of star goalkeeper, Paul Woolston.
The former Newcastle United shot-stopper has been on trial with the Red Devils since September, and it now appears the Manchester outfit is impressed with his performances.
Following the departure of Joel Pereira, Dean Henderson and Kieran O’Hara from Old Trafford last summer, Mourinho was left with an acute shortage of options between the stands.
