Shimza defends his question about King Monada changing his sound

After being dragged over hot coals for his comments about King Monada’s sound, Shimza has come out to clear the air about what he meant when he asked the ‘Malwede’ hit-maker to change his music.

During an interview on Metro FM, Shimza asked King Monada if he would be open to switching up his music, but the DJ claims that his question was misinterpreted and he did not mean to offend the muso.

Tweeps were outraged by his comments, but Shimza is trying to defend himself by saying that the whole thing was blown out of proportion and he was not trying to attack King Monada.

Briefly.co.za reported that tweeps accused the DJ of being jealous of King Monada’s success and they are adamant that the musician should remain true to himself.

Shimza explained that he was curious to know if the ‘Malwede’ hit-maker would be open to the idea of changing his music to reach a different audience in other parts of the country.

TimesLIVE reports that despite tweeps’ feelings on the matter, King Monada hasn’t taken any offence to Shimza’s comments and he was excited by the idea of mixing up his music to collaborate with other artists.
