Vusi Nova’s latest album, ‘Manyan-Nyan’ has just reached platinum status, however, it is a bittersweet moment for the musician as he wished that his mom was still around to celebrate with him.
The musician has been having a great year, even though he did hit a small bump in the road in the past month.
Briefly.co.za previously reported that Vusi landed in hot water when another musician and even a soccer team, claimed that he had stolen their song, ‘As’Phelelanga’.
Vusi dismissed the claims as he believes that the track, which was a traditional chant, was in public domain and he never claimed to own the rights to it.
The copyright saga was being investigated by SAMRO, however, no more has come of it just yet.
‘Manyan-Nyan’ went gold in October and not even a month later, it has gone platinum.
Youth Village reports that Vusi had taken to social media to share the good news with his fans, but he couldn’t help thinking about how proud his mom would have been.
Kelly Khumalo congratulated the musician on his achievement, but he replied about how much he was missing his biggest fan.
